Triple P.L.A.Y. welcomes back the Winnipeg Jets Alumni & Friends

Triple P.LA.Y. is thrilled to welcome back the Winnipeg Jets Alumni and Friends to Kenora for another great weekend October 17-18. This time we’re raising money to help implement and continue the use of Project 11 in Keewatin-Patricia District School Board and Kenora Catholic District School Board schools as well as partnering First Nation communities.
So, what is Project 11? It’s a proactive mental wellness awareness and education program created in memory of former Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose player Rick Rypien. Emphasizing the importance of mental health alongside physical health, Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum normalizes conversations about feelings and stress, creates classroom community, and teaches healthy coping strategies students can use to manage difficult situations and emotions.
